No Behinds Left Behind
No Behinds Left Behind puts diapers into the hands of families who couldn't otherwise afford them.
Based in the outpatient pediatric clinic at the Jacobi Medical Center, the No Behinds Left Behind diaper bank has helped give
more than 50,000 diapers
to families in need.
Diapers are essential, and yet, they are not routinely covered by federal or state assistance programs.
This means that parents must spend about $80 per month, or almost $1000 per year, on diapers. It is a staggering sum that many families cannot afford.
Wordwell founded the No Behinds Left Behind initiative in 2020, during the COVID-19 pandemic, when more than one-million NYC children had parents who lost their jobs and an estimated 325,000 children began living below or near the poverty line.
Wordwell's No Behinds Left Behind Initiative:
